One of the most aesthetic meals we ate in Peru. Very tasty but there were errors in our order and the stuff didnt really care. It's also a pity that they don't have an English menu.
The food is really good here. I had the best lomo saltado. Everything fresh and good. But the service… they were pushing very hard for what they recommend, they don’t let you check peacefully the menu. It became really annoying and I felt pressure all the time. When the food came, the waiter barely pay attention to us. It took us more time to ask for the bill than to eat. Once we’re served it seems were not the priority anymore. The food was good but the service seems very tourist trap and I would not recommend for that. It worth to go for the food but set some bonderies with the waiters if you want to have a peaceful and relaxed meal.
Great food and friendly staff. We stopped here on a food tour and had an excellent ceviche making lesson from the chef.
Only use this place as a last resort or if your bar is set really low for traditional peruvian tastes. The food was like the chefs made it for the first time and was learning. Not to mention it took way too long to come out. With better food, the setting would make this place a great experience.
I came for the lunch with my family and we received an exceptional service. Cristian and his female colleague Andrea, were very friendly and attentive staff who went above and beyond to ensure that our experience was enjoyable. The lunch menu we ordered was very delicious and reasonably priced.
I started with the Causa con pollo which was absolutely delicious. For my main course, I opted for the Lomito Saltado and it did not disappoint.
For a drink I've been offered Chicha Morada which was very tasty and refreshing.
Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for the traditional peruvian lunch. From the welcoming ambiance to the exceptional service and exquisite cuisine, everything about this restaurant was top-notch. I cannot wait to return and explore more of the menu offerings!
Nicely located close to the cathedral with an outdoor terrace. We ordered 2 café macchiato thinking we would get espressos with a bit of milk... Instead we got two massive mochas (coffee, milk, chocolate) that were so sweet that we could not drink it. All that after waiting 20 minutes. Not good.
Thanks to the owner reply, I should specify that the "latte" part of the macchiato was not written in the menu. Although the sugar is provided on the side (that I didn't use), the sweetness of the macchiato comes from the fake chocolate used that is very high in sugar content.
We were the only 2 people in the whole restaurant at 9pm on a Friday night. The service was slow and our main courses arrived over 5 minutes apart. The rubber gloved waiter who was obviously also working in the kitchen complained at us for not tipping 10% when we paid.
The food was OK but nothing special. This is just a very average tourist restaurant, you may as well go to McDonalds.
